Australia’s February Bitumen import from Thailand up by 10% at 10,000 tons.
During the period January to February 2021, Australia imported 19083 MT of Bitumen from Thailand. The country imported 9001 MT of bitumen in January 2021 and 10082 MT in February 2021. During the period January to February 2020, Australia imported 33049 MT of Bitumen. As per the data analysis by our team, import of the country has decreased by 42% during Jan to February 2021, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to February 2020. Australia Bitumen import from Thailand has gone up by 12% in February 2021, as compared to last month i.e. January 2021. Compared to same period last year i.e. February 2020, Australia Bitumen import from Thailand has decreased by 56% in February 2021.
China
China’s bitumen import increased by 10% last year as large volumes arrived from South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Middle East.
During the year 2011, China imported 3.19 million MT of Bitumen, 2.73 million MT in the year 2012, 3.32 million MT in the year 2013, 4.07 million MT in the year 2014, 4.70 million MT in the year 2015, 4.95 million MT in the year 2016, 4.19 million MT in the year 2017, 4.60 million MT in the year 2018, 4.28 million MT in the year 2019 and 4.76 million MT in the year 2020. As per the data analysis by our team, China import has firmed up by 11% during 2020, as compared to last year i.e. 2019 imports.
Vietnam&singapore
During the period January to December 2020, Vietnam imported 269993 MT of Bitumen from Singapore. The country imported 25491 MT of Bitumen in January 2020, 19453 MT in February, 12489 MT in March, 20286 MT in April, 23561 MT in May, 23538 MT in June, 18903 MT in July, 16104 MT in August, 29337 MT in September, 17031 MT in October, 20873 MT in November and 42927 MT in December 2020. During the period Jan to December 2019, Vietnam imported 236172 MT of Bitumen from Singapore. As per the data analysis by our team, import of the country has gone up by 14% during Jan to December 2020, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to December 2019. Compared to last month i.e. September 2020, import of the country has gone up by 106% in the month of December 2020. Vietnam import of Bitumen from Singapore has decreased by 13% in December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. December 2019.
Mumbai
Bitumen import into India’s Mumbai Port fell 40% year on year as coronavirus cases spike to four month high in the city.
In January 2021, India imported 19255 MT of Bitumen into Mumbai port. India’s Bitumen import into Mumbai has decreased by 41% in January 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. January 2020.
During the period January to December 2020, India imported 227217 MT of Bitumen into Mumbai port. The country imported 32609 MT of bitumen in January 2020, 30607 MT in February, 40216 MT in March, 6928 MT in April, 39329 MT in May, 26813 MT in June, 9035 MT in July, 9960 MT in August, 9561 MT in September, 7462 MT in October, 2344 MT in November and 12352 MT in December 2020. During the period January to December 2019, India imported 88732 MT of Bitumen into Mumbai port. As per the data analysis by our team, import of the country has increased by 156% during Jan to December 2020, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to December 2019. Bitumen import of India into Mumbai port has gone up by 425% in December 2020, as compared to last month i.e. November 2020. India’s Bitumen import into Mumbai has decreased by 59% in December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. December 2019.
USA
US December bitumen export up 5% at 483,000 barrels as cargoes shipped to Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, Honduras and Morocco.
US Exported 8.58 million barrels of Bitumen during the period January to December 2020. The country Exported 745,000 barrels in January, 534,000 barrels in February, 672,000 barrels in March, 325,000 barrels in April, 799,000 barrels in May, 644,000 barrels in June, 922,000 barrels in July, 1.10 million barrels in August, 720,000 barrels in September, 1.18 million barrels in October, 452,000 barrels in November and 483,000 barrels in December 2020. During the period January to December 2019, US Export 9.32 million barrels of Bitumen. As per the data analysis by our team export of the country has gone down by 8% during Jan to December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. Jan to December 2019. Compared to last month i.e. November 2020, Export of the country has increased by 7% in the month of December 2020. US exports has gone down by 32% in December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. December 2019.
