Indonesia’s bitumen import from Singapore doubled in February at 48000 tons.
During the period January to February 2021, Indonesia imported 70858 MT of Bitumen from Singapore. The country imported 22768 MT of Bitumen in January 2021 and 48090 MT in February 2021. During the period Jan to February 2020, Indonesia imported 110505 MT of Bitumen from Singapore. As per the data analysis by our team, import of the country has decreased by 36% during Jan to February 2021, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to February 2020. Compared to last month i.e. January 2021, import of the country has hike up by 111% in the month of February 2021. Indonesia import of Bitumen from Singapore has decreased by 17% in February 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. February 2020.
• UAE
UAE’s Bitumen exports in 2020 surged all time highs as large volumes were exported to India.
During the year 2011, India imported 43261 MT of Bitumen from UAE, 109255 MT in 2012, 151700 MT in 2013, 323060 MT in 2014, 621555 MT in 2015, 707346 MT in 2016, 696341 MT in 2017, 505378 MT in 2018, 55775 MT in 2019 and 855388 MT in 2020. As per the data analysis by our team, India bitumen import from UAE has gone up by 5% during 2020, as compared to last year i.e. 2019 imports.
• India
India’s February bitumen export up by 15% at 8800 tons as cargoes were shipped to Nepal, Bhutan & Bangladesh.
During the period January to February 2021, India exported 16325 MT of Bitumen. The country exported 7514 MT of bitumen in January and 8811 MT in February 2021. During the period January to February 2020, India exported 16282 MT of Bitumen. As per the data analysis by our team, export of the country has increased by 43 MT during Jan to February 2021, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to February 2020. Bitumen export of India has gone up by 17% in February 2021, as compared to last month i.e. January 2021. Compared to same period last year i.e. February 2020, India Bitumen export has fall down by 2% in February 2019.
India exported 8811 MT of Bitumen in the month of February 2021. India exported most of its Bitumen to different countries like 8661 MT (98%) to Nepal, 103 MT (1%) to Bhutan, 46 MT (1%) to Bangladesh and 1 MT to Maldives.
• Thailand
Thailand’s Bitumen import in 2020 surged to record highs as large volumes arrived from Singapore & Malaysia. During the year 2011, Thailand imported 96259 MT of Bitumen, 140237 MT in the year 2012, 126522 MT in the year 2013, 149592 MT in the year 2014, 298194 MT in the year 2015, 317125 MT in the year 2016, 325091 MT in the year 2017, 264929 MT in the year 2018, 269907 MT in 2019 and 446969 MT in 2020. As per the data analysis by our team, Thailand’s bitumen import has gone up by 66% during 2020, as compared to last year i.e. 2019 imports.
• Middle East
Middle East bitumen export to China surges as Iraq, UAE, Bahrain, Iran and Oman ship more than 231,000 tons this year.
Middle East bitumen export to China surges as Iraq, UAE, Bahrain, Iran and Oman ship more than 231,000 tons this year. So far this year Iraq has exported 158,500 tons of bitumen to China, UAE has exported 51,000 tons, Bahrain has exported 12200 tons and Iran has exported 9710 tons of Bitumen to China. Oman has exported small quantities as well. The Middle East has exported more than 231,000 tons of bitumen to China so far this year.
