US January bitumen export firmed up 20% to 573,000 barrels as cargoes were shipped to Mexico, canada, New Zealand, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic.
US Exported 573,000 barrels of Bitumen in January 2021. Compared to last month i.e. December 2020, Export of the country has increased by 19% in the month of January 2021. US exports has gone down by 23% in January 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. January 2020.
US exported 573,000 barrels of bitumen in January 2021. The country exported 270,000 barrels (47%) to Mexico, 114,000 barrels (20%) to Canada, 98,000 barrels (17%) to New Zealand, 42,000 barrels (7%) to Costa Rica, 41,000 barrels (7%) to Dominican Republic and 8,000 barrels (1%) to Other countries.
US exported 270,000 barrels of Bitumen to Mexico in January 2021. Compared to last month i.e. December 2020, Export of the country has increased by 7% in the month of January 2021. US exports to Mexico has gone down by 23% in January 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. January 2020.
US exported 114,000 barrels of Bitumen to Canada in January 2021. Compared to last month i.e. December 2020, Export of the country has increased by 338% in the month of January 2021. US exports to Canada has gone down by 28% in January 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. January 2020.
• India
India’s home consumption bitumen import up by 40% at 209,300 tons in March.
India imported 376,700 tons of Total Bitumen in March 2021 of which home consumption was 209,300 tons. During the period Jan to March 2021, India imported 584800 MT of Home Consumption. The country imported 227,200 MT of Home Consumption bitumen in January, 148,200 MT in February and 209,300 MT in March 2021. During the period Jan to March 2020, India imported 865,900 MT of Home Consumption. As per the data analysis by our team, Home Consumption Bitumen import of India has hiked up by 20% during Jan to March 2021, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to March 2020. Home Consumption Bitumen import of India has gone up by 40% in March 2021, as compared to last month i.e. February 2021. India’s Home Consumption Bitumen import has increased by 35% in March 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. March 2020.
• Italy
Italy Domestic Bitumen price up by Euro 10 PMT in mid April 2021.
In Italy, Domestic Bitumen current prices are oscillating in the range of € 370 – 380 PMT. The average bitumen prices in Euro PMT for domestic prices in Italy were € 315 PMT in January 2021, € 330 PMT in February, € 365 PMT in March and € 375 PMT in April 2021. In current month i.e. mid April 2021, prices marked up by € 10 PMT (3%) as compared to previous month price & reported at € 375 PMT. Prices hiked up by € 150 PMT (67%) in April 2021 as compared to same period last year i.e. April 2020. Since January 2021, prices gone up by € 60 PMT (19%) in April 2021.
• UAE
UAE’s Bitumen exports to India up by 40% at 156,800 tons in March.
During the period January to March 2021, India imported 419167 MT of Bitumen from UAE. The country imported 150985 MT of bitumen in January, 111354 MT in February and 156827 MT in March 2021. During the period January to March 2020, India imported 244445 MT of Bitumen from UAE. As per the data analysis by our team, import of the country has increased by 71% during Jan to March 2021, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to March 2020. Bitumen import from UAE has gone up by 40% in March 2021, as compared to last month i.e. February 2021. Bitumen import from UAE has increase by 94% in March 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. March 2020.
• South korea
South Korea exported more than 475,000 tons of bitumen to China, Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia so far this year.
During the period January to February 2021, South Korea exported 475354 MT of Bitumen. South Korea exported most of its Bitumen to different countries like 329566 MT (69%) to China, 49071 MT (10%) to Japan, 34680 MT (7%) to Australia, 33085 MT (7%) to Vietnam, 13219 MT (3%) to Indonesia, 5665 MT (1%) to Malaysia, 5224 MT (1%) to Thailand, 4665 MT (1%) to Taiwan and 179 MT to Other countries.
During the period January to February 2021, South Korea exported 475354 MT of Bitumen. South Korea exported 237003 MT of Bitumen in January 2021 and 238351 MT in February 2021. During the period Jan to February 2020, South Korea exported 564753 MT of Bitumen. As per the data analysis by our team, export of the country has gone down by 16% during January to February 2021, as compared to the same period last year i.e. January to February 2020. Compared to last month i.e. January 2021, South Korea Bitumen export has increased by 1% in the month of February 2021. South Korea export has gone down by 642 MT in February 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. February 2020.
• Thailand
Thailand’s Bitumen import is up by 65% at 51,000 tons so far this year as cargoes arrive from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea & UAE.
During the period i.e. January to February 2021, Thailand imported 51669 MT of Bitumen. The country imported 18085 MT of Bitumen in January 2021 and 33583 MT in February 2021. During the period i.e. January to February 2020, Thailand imported 30975 MT of Bitumen. As per the data analysis by our team, import of the country has gone up by 67% during January to February 2021, as compared to the same period last year i.e. January to February 2020. Compared to last month i.e. January 2021, import of the country has increased by 86% in the month of February 2021. Thailand import has hike up by 463% in February 2021, as compared to same period last year i.e. February 2020.
During the period January to February 2021, Thailand imported 51669 MT of Bitumen. Thailand imported most of its Bitumen from different countries like 30030 MT (58%) from Singapore, 16172 MT (31%) from Malaysia, 5280 MT (10%) from South Korea and 187 MT from UAE.
