Singapore FOB bulk Bitumen price marginally up by 5% in February 2021.
In Singapore, FOB bulk bitumen price hike up by USD 15 PMT since last week price and are currently in the range of USD 375 – 385 PMT. Average FOB Singapore Bulk Bitumen prices are hovering around USD 330 PMT in January 2021. Prices hiked up & reported at USD 365 PMT in February. In current month i.e. early March 2021, price of the product have gone up by USD 15 PMT (4%) as compared to last month price & prices reported at USD 380 PMT. Prices are up by USD 80 PMT (27%) in March 2021 as compared to same period last year i.e. March 2020. Since January 2021 prices increased by USD 50 PMT (15%) in March 2021.
• South korea
During the period January to December 2020, South Korea produced 4.96 million MT of bitumen. The bitumen production was 418,000 MT in January 2020, 340,000 MT in February, 395,000 MT in March, 407,000 MT in April, 518,000 MT in May, 480,000 MT in June, 412,000 MT in July, 399,000 MT in August, 351,000 MT in September, 461,000 MT in October, 386,000 MT in November and 393,000 MT in December 2020. During the period Jan to December 2019, South Korea produced 5.21 million MT of bitumen. As per the data analysis by our team, South Korea’s Bitumen production gone down by 5% during Jan to December 2020, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to December 2019. South Korea’s bitumen production has gone down by 19% in December 2020, as compared to last month i.e. November 2020. South Korea’s bitumen production decreased by 23% in December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. December 2019.
• Japan
Japan’s Bitumen production up by 44% at 209,000 tons in November.
During the period January to November 2020, Japan produced 2.18 million MT of Bitumen. The country produced 295097 MT of Bitumen in January, 221755 MT in February, 249451 MT in March, 175877 MT in April, 166814 MT in May, 181207 MT in June, 199242 MT in July, 177285 MT in August, 165002 MT in September, 145257 MT in October and 209165 MT in November 2020. During the period January to November 2019, Japan produced 2.46 million MT of Bitumen. As per the data analysis by our team, production of the country has decreased by 11% during January to November 2020, as compared to the same period last year i.e. January to November 2019. Compared to last month i.e. October 2020, production of the country has gone up by 44% in the month of November 2020. Japan production has increased by 19% in November 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. November 2019.
• Iraq
During the period January to December 2020, India imported 1.41 million MT of Bitumen from Iraq. The country imported 175064 MT of bitumen in January 2020, 187339 MT in February, 174533 MT in March, 37097 MT in April, 96549 MT in May, 157157 MT in June, 110283 MT in July, 72939 MT in August, 79535 MT in September, 64241 MT in October, 109436 MT in November and 150940 MT in December 2020. During the period January to December 2019, India imported 594884 MT of Bitumen from Iraq. As per the data analysis by our team, import of the country has increased by 138% during Jan to December 2020, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to December 2019. Bitumen import from Iraq has gone up by 38% in December 2020, as compared to last month i.e. November 2020. Bitumen import from Iraq has increase by 30% in December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. December 2019.
During the period January to December 2020, Iraq exported 158206 MT of Bitumen to China. The country exported 6430 MT of Bitumen in January 2020, 4163 MT in February, 502 MT in March, 99 MT in April, 9033 MT in May, 0 MT in June, 0 MT in July, 54436 MT in August, 18320 MT in September, 20241 MT in October, 369 MT in November and 44614 MT in December 2020. During the period Jan to December 2019, Iraq exported 976 MT of Bitumen to China. As per the data analysis by our team, export of the country has increased by 157230 MT during Jan to December 2020, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to December 2019. Compared to last month i.e. November 2020, export of the country has gone up by 44245 MT in the month of December 2020. Iraq Bitumen export to China has increased by 44614 MT in December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. December 2019.
• Malaysia
Malaysia’s Bitumen export to Thailand up by 90% at 13,800 tons in December.
During the period January to December 2020, Malaysia exported 158148 MT of Bitumen to Thailand. The country imported 4550 MT of Bitumen in January 2020, 2795 MT in February, 1352 MT in March, 4462 MT in April, 17652 MT in May, 30494 MT in June, 41552 MT in July, 21288 MT in August, 8800 MT in September, 4123 MT in October, 7243 MT in November and 13839 MT in December 2020. During the period Jan to December 2019, Malaysia exported 115532 MT of Bitumen to Thailand. As per the data analysis by our team, export of the country has gone up by 37% during Jan to December 2020, as compared to the same period last year i.e. Jan to December 2019. Compared to last month i.e. November 2020, import of the country has gone up by 91% in the month of December 2020. Malaysia Bitumen export to Thailand has increased by 249% in December 2020, as compared to same period last year i.e. December 2019.
